When Queen Elizabeth II Came to Jamestown Virginia 1957

In 1957 an eight-month celebration (April-November) swept the country to commemorate the 350th year of the founding of Jamestown, Virginia, the first permanent English settlement in the New World. This monumental observance brought English royalty, American dignitaries, and about 10,000 visitors a day to Jamestown.
