Looking for info on Franklin Edison Harrison (1883-1939) son of William Henry Harrison and Harriet Rhodes. He married Nina Pearl Kear.
His father William born in Canton, MA to Alfred and Ellen Harrison. His mother Hattie was born in Wrentham, MA to Edson Rhodes and Maria L Thayer. Hattie may have remarried to Charles Lewis Grozinger Grazinger.
According to family Frank and his three brothers were part of an unusual event in the history of the United States of America. They were in the group of 96 children, who in 1906, were taken west from Boston on the "Children's Train." The brothers had been placed in the Wayfarer's Home in Boston because of parents ill-health and were unable to take care of them. {Note: Listed in 1900 census below so may not have been on 1906 train} Frank, being the eldest of the four boys, managed to keep them together until the train reached Van Wert, Ohio. There they were accepted by four different families. Frank was reared in the home of a local undertaker, William Rank. The Rank's only child had recently died and Frank helped fill that void.
In another unusual circumstance, their mother found the boys in 1912. Having recovered her health, she set out to find them. She happened to see Frank's wife and oldest son on a street car in Cleveland, Ohio, and saw the family resemblance. Shortly thereafter, she came to the Harrison's home in Van Wert, Ohio, and the whole family was reunited.
