Transcribed by Barbara M. Grindle Published: January 2020 To create this summary of marriage intentions and marriages Barbara Grindle, Assistant to the Sedgwick Selectmen, went through each volume of the early Town Clerk books and transcribed the marriage information in the order in which it was documented. The work was complicated by the poor condition of the books, the faded ink and the writing style of each Town Clerk which could vary fr om pristine to illegible but Barbara enjoyed these challenges and compiled as complete and accurate a record as possible.
